New PAASCU President

Fr. Joel E. Tabora, SJ, President of Ateneo de Davao University was elected PAASCU President during the Board Meeting held on 10 May 2012. In 2010, Fr. Joel, as he is fondly called by friends and colleagues, was chosen as one of the 2010 The Outstanding Filipino awardees (TOFIL) in the field of education.
Dr. Ramon L. Arcadio, Chancellor Emeritus of the University of the Philippines-Manila, was elected Vice President; while Sr. Josefina F. Nebres, ICM was elected as PAASCU’s Secretary-Treasurer. Presently, Sr. Jo also serves as the Chair of the PAASCU’s Commission on Secondary Education.

Dr. Ma. Rosario O. Lapus, President of Miriam College-Quezon City, took her Oath of Office as a new member of the
Board of Directors after having been elected during the 2011 PAASCU General Assembly.
Outgoing PAASCU President, Fr. Antonio S. Samson, SJ, was elected President of the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) for a term of two (2) years effective April 2012.
