Virtual Program Accreditation Successful Kick-off

PAASCU has undertaken virtual program accreditation (VPA) after months of planning and training.  Three schools have been visited thus far, with programs ranging from Senior High School through Graduate Education.  These schools are Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Manila, Saint Teresita’s Academy, Aritao, and University of the East, Manila.

In preparing for the two-day virtual visit, the various survey teams and the PAASCU Secretariat met remotely with the school’s Quality Assurance Team and their IT officers to prepare for the accreditation visit.  After each visit, an online assessment has been done to determine the strengths and issues encountered in the VPA.  The assessment results show very positive feedback in the process.

PAASCU launched the virtual program accreditation in response to the challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic and to ensure the continuance of its mission of assisting its member institutions in pursuing quality initiatives through external accreditation.  A total of 289 programs are scheduled to be visited this school year 2021-2022.

The Colegio: Pioneer School for the VPA

Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Manila, has made history as the first school in PAASCU to be visited virtually. The Colegio has undergone virtual accreditation visits to the following programs:
