UP Manila Graduate Programs Orientation on the Virtual Accreditation Process

The UP Manila National Graduate Office for the Health Sciences (NGHOS) was given an orientation on the virtual accreditation process on October 28, 2021.  This was an initiative of Dr. Leslie Michelle M. Dalmacio, Director of NGHOS, that will help the participants understand and appreciate the value of accreditation.  Dr. Ramon L. Arcadio, Chair of the PAASCU Commission on Basic Medical Education, gave the welcoming remarks followed by the program itself, highlighting accreditation and its benefits and the accreditation process. PAASCU Executive Director Ricardo R. Palo shared on accreditation and its benefits and PAASCU as an organization. Dr. Cecile B. Gutierrez, Chair of the Commission on Graduate Education, explained the accreditation process, particularly the self-assessment process, the writing of the self-survey report, and the survey visit. Dr. Ramon L. Arcadio, Chair of the Commission of Basic Medical Education of PAASCU, and Dean Emeritus of UP Manila gave the welcome remarks.  Dr. Carmencita Padilla, Chancellor, and Dr. Charlotte Chiong, Dean, gave the closing remarks.  A total of 30 school administrators, both from graduate and undergraduate programs, took part in the event.
