The Association does not impose arbitrary standards. The survey forms developed by PAASCU identify principles and practices which are found in excellent institutions.
PAASCU support the member schools’ own effort on upgrading academic standards through self-assessment and site visits, training, research, consultancy services, and collaborative undertakings.

Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines
Established in 1977, the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP), is an umbrella organization of the three accrediting agencies (ACSU-AAI, PACUCOA, and PAASCU) authorized by the Commission on Higher Education and Department of Education to certify, that is reviewing and approving, the accrediting decisions made by the accrediting agencies to grant progressive deregulation and other benefits.
